Do you want a one-on-one access to our screenwriting business advisor to guide you on next steps in your career: on agents, managers or producers to send your screenplay to when ready, including names and email addresses? Do you want to receive experienced judges’ comments on your screenplay within 4 weeks of receiving it for quick informed feedback? ALL entries of LSC get BOTH of these benefits.
“Big thanks to London International Screenwriting Competition for the Semifinalist placement. Industry Professionals are already reaching out! Thanks.” LSC Semifinalist.
“What a great competition and so so valuable…I’ve already had a surge of new followers on Twitter…winning this has already helped me with spec emails and garnering more interest when networking.” LSC Winner.
NOTE: Although written feedback will be provided by the judges for ALL entries within 4 weeks of receipt, final competition results are not published until after the final deadline.
LSC has partnered with a Senior Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence and Creativity to provide 3 pages of notes (for a small extra fee) using a cutting-edged A.I. system, for your whole screenplay. Remember: multiple producers/studios are already experimenting with such systems to help them find the best scripts.
Just how do you get an agent, manager or producer in the competitive world of screenwriting? Two key methods are: (i) build a CV with screenwriting competition placements; (ii) make an impact with your first 10 pages!
“Producers and studio executives run a tight schedule. It’s impossible to read through mountainous stacks of scripts. Therefore, only the most intriguing and well-crafted scripts will make it past the first ten pages.” Industrial Scripts.
“There is a lot of luck in this business, but there is plenty you can do to increase the possibilities of your luck, which is being in the right place at the right time, getting involved in competitions…” (Jean Kitson, agent, MBA)
“Screenwriting contests can be an excellent way for aspiring writers to gain recognition, network with industry professionals, and advance their careers.” (No Film School)
Entering the London International Screenwriting Competition is not only about the opportunity to add a win to your CV, but also an opportunity to get extensive feedback that can raise your script to the next level! All screenplays will be judged based on those all important first 10 pages by professional readers or award-winning screenwriters. These are the only pages that interest managers, agents and producers – 90% of screenplays get thrown aside before 10 pages are up…
For a slightly higher entry fee you can request 3 pages of notes on their whole screenplay produced by our Senior Research Fellow’s groundbreaking technology. (As already alluded to: multiple producers are experimenting with such A.I. systems to help them find the best scripts – so be ahead of the pack!)
Reminder: all entrants free access to our screenwriting business advisor to guide you on next steps in your career: on agents, managers or producers to send your screenplay to when ready.
